We understand that live events can be expensive to set up, promote, and operate, from venue costs to artists' fees, riders, and guest lists. We offer a range of standard packages based on the typical type of events that we support. If one of our standard packages doesn't fit your needs, we are more than happy to work with you to find a solution that does.
Live Sound
Band night - Our most popular indoor package (from £190)
This package is for larger in-door shows featuring full bands using their own backline amplification and drum kits. Sound Humans will provide: One experienced sound engineer to set up and operate FOH and monitors Allen and Heath Avantis solo digital console with Dante 64x64 sound card Laptop running Dante virtual sound card and Reaper to record all acts if required (see additional fees) 2 x PreSonus Air15 tops 2 x dB Technologies Opera15 Subs dbx Drive Rack PA2, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) 1 x PreSonus Air12 drum fill 3 x PreSonus Air10 wedges Allan & Heath DT168 stage box with 50m multicore Microphones, stands, and DI boxes for up to 24 channels £190 for up to 4 hours of performance and change over time (maximum three artists) £75 per additional artist or additional hour of performance time. Travel within a 20-mile radius of our base location in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, is free of charge. Travel outside this zone will be charged at £0.45 per mile. This system requires a minimum of 75 minutes to set up, excluding soundchecks.
Intimate show - Analog Package (from £155)
This package is for small shows such as pub and club gigs featuring acoustic artists, solo performers, or duets. Sound Humans will provide: One experienced sound engineer to set up and operate FOH and monitors Allen and Heath ZED18 analog console with outboard FX 2 x PreSonus Air15 front-of-house active speakers on stands (900W RMS per side) 2 x PreSonus Air10 wedges 20m multicore Microphones, stands and DI boxes for up to 10 channels £155 for up to 4 hours of performance and change over time (maximum three artists) £40 per additional artist or additional hour of performance time. Travel within a 20-mile radius of our base location in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, is free of charge. Travel outside this zone will be charged at £0.45 per mile. This system requires a minimum of 30 minutes to set up, excluding soundchecks.
Festival days - Our outdoor package (from £350 per day)

Intimate show - Digital Package (from £170)
This package is for small shows such as pub and club gigs featuring acoustic artists, solo performers, or duets who may want a multitrack recording of their performance. Sound Humans will provide: One experienced sound engineer to set up and operate FOH and monitors Allen and Heath Avantis solo digital console with Dante 64x64 sound card Laptop running Dante virtual sound card and Reaper to record all acts (see additional fees) 2 x PreSonus Air15 front-of-house active speakers on stands (900W RMS per side) 2 x PreSonus Air10 wedges Allan & Heath DT168 stage box with 50m multicore Microphones, stands, and DI boxes for up to 16 channels £170 for up to 4 hours of performance and change over time (maximum three artists) £60 per additional artist or additional hour of performance time. Travel within a 20-mile radius of our base location in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, is free of charge. Travel outside this zone will be charged at £0.45 per mile. This system requires a minimum of 60 minutes to set up, excluding soundchecks.
Front-of-house / freelance engineering (contact for fees)
This package is for bands looking to hire a front-of-house engineer for shows where a headline act or venue will provide an in-house or touring PA system and monitors. Sound Humans will provide: One experienced sound engineer to set up and operate FOH Allen and Heath Avantis solo digital console with Dante 64x64 sound card Laptop running Dante virtual sound card and Reaper for Virtual soundchecks Allan & Heath DT168 & AR84 stage boxes with 100m multicore Microphones, stands, and DI boxes for up to 24 channels (64 on request) Our standard system can provide 10-mono or 5 stereo in-ear mixes + FOH mix Day rate on application. Day rate excludes all travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs. Travel will be charged at £0.45 per mile from our base in Wirksworth Derbyshire.
Live Recording
Option 1 - Purchase your 'raw' WAV files (from £3 per minute)
This is the lowest-cost option, providing you with the most flexibility. We charge £3 per minute of recorded data, irrespective of the number of songs or individual tracks recorded. So, if you played a blinding 35-minute set with a full drum kit, two guitars, bass, and vocals, the fee to own the copyright of all the raw tracks would be £105. The tracks will be zipped into a directory and made accessible through Microsoft OneDrive following payment. Remember, we record at the professional standard 96Khz sample rate, so your files will be BIG.
Option 2 - Let us mix and master your tracks (from £50)
First and foremost, the Sound Humans are live FOH sound engineers, where the venue’s acoustics, your backline, and the audience all impact the audio. However, we also know how to take a recording of your gig and feed it into our mixing console to replicate that live, energetic sound. All stereo mixes will be provided in high-definition WAV file format and compressed into a low-resolution MP3 format.
